I remember going out with my family one day and wanting to cry because the material from my sundress was touching my legs and it felt like my legs were on fire. The next day I scheduled appointments and I started going to different doctors trying to figure out what was going on. Many couldn't find anything wrong. Many tried to convince me it was all in my head. But I knew the pain I was experiencing was very, very real. Finally in 2015, I found a doctor who listened and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.  Fibromyalgia is one of those invisible chronic illnesses that you don't really "get it" until you get it. A person can look totally fine and they may be dealing with severe pain. And fibromyalgia isn't just pain it's brain fog, vertigo, anxiety, depression, chest pain, fatigue, weight gain/loss, memory loss, hair loss, dry eye, sensitivity to light/sounds/smells, nausea and way more. And if you're lucky, some days you experience all of it at one time. 🥴 ...
