Real talk, tho...

It's amazing to me how after someone commits suicide, all these people who "loved" them come all out the woodworks.

With all their stories, and memories, and all their "they wish they coulda wouldas."

The majority of them know good and doggone well they were probably one of the reasons that person hit their breaking point in the first place.

As someone who has lived with depression since childhood, I know about it being an illness and there's nothing anyone can do/say per se that can make someone do that irreversible act.

However, a person can do/say something to trigger you when you're already in a dark space and it can be all downhill from there if you give in to the darkness you're engulfed in.

It just irritates me 'cause I just KNOW that half of that love they're spewing isn't genuine.

You loved them, but they couldn't even talk to you.
You loved them, but you couldn't even support them when they needed it.
You loved them, but were always snappy at every turn.
You loved them, but your actions never matched your words.

Fake love is what it is.
Trying to ease their guilty conscience is all that is.

But no matter what you do to try to make yourself feel better, their blood is forever on your hands.
