I'm not for everyone.

How many times over the course of your life have you heard:

"You should really open up more."

"Why don't you smile? It's not that bad!"

"People will think you're stuck up if you don't talk to them."

Not that many times?

Good for you. 👍🏾

But if you're anything like me, you've heard it more times than you can count. 😩

I'm a quiet, introverted individual. I deal with social anxiety so I speak when it's time to (and when I'm in a comfortable setting) instead of just rambling on and on for no reason.

Yet there are those who are sooo set on trying to change me.

Why?

Why is it so hard to accept the fact that some people are different than what many are accustomed to?

If I'm not telling you to shut up every three seconds for yapping and can accept the fact that you're a blabbermouth, stop telling me to talk and just accept the fact that I'm quiet and like to chill in the cut and observe.

You be you.

Let me be me.

I'm not for everyone.. and I'm perfectly fine with that. 🙌🏾
